Out of the desert comes the first enclosed ski resort. Located in the Mall of the Emirates, Ski Dubai is a breath of cold air that holds around 6,000 tons of snow at any given time. It has a 400-meter ski run, a 90-metre long quarter pipe for stunts, a snowboard park and 5 slopes of all difficulties. To top it all off, for the non-skiers, there is an ice rink and loads of areas to just enjoy the snow. At a price of about AED 220 (US$ 60) for an adult day pass, Ski Dubai is not so cheap, but it sure beats the price of traveling to another country to do a bit of skiing.
